Omega World Travel Salutes Women Entrepreneurs at
WBENC's 2010 National Business Conference in Baltimore, MD

COMPANY CO CHAIRS EVENT PROMOTING SUPPLIER DIVERSITY

Fairfax, Va. – July 2, 2010 - Omega World Travel, a woman-owned travel management company headquartered in Fairfax, Va., co-chaired this year’s Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) 2010 Women in Business National Conference and Business Fair June 22-24, 2010 in Baltimore. More than 3,000 participants representing women business enterprises from the US, Canada, the UK and India, along with some of America’s top corporate leaders, attended in support of the growth and development of supplier diversity.

“We were so proud to co-chair this amazing event,” said Gloria Bohan, president and CEO of Omega World Travel. “It was truly our pleasure to meet so many dynamic women and share ideas. We are in awe of their creativity and innovation.”

As a long time member and supporter of WBENC, Gloria Bohan gave one of the keynote addresses at the conference, sharing with those in attendance her story that began with a passion for travel and a one person office which she successfully grew to become one of the top travel management companies in the U.S. Cruise.com, one of the premier cruise sites on the internet, is the sister company of Omega World Travel and part of the company’s success story.

Many of America’s top corporations also were in attendance, looking to align themselves with quality diverse suppliers to build world-class diversity supplier programs. “The corporate leaders that support WBENC clearly recognize the value of women businesses. I admire their commitment and applaud their efforts to provide women businesses access to opportunities on a national scale,” said Bohan.  The partnerships we build with each other today are imperative to continued economic growth.

The annual conference provides certified women-owned businesses exposure to major corporations to help them build relationships that will result in future business opportunities.
