Fairfax, Va. – Oct. 22, 2008 - Omega World Travel, a global travel
management company, is proud to announce that Gloria Bohan, president
and CEO, has been selected to receive the prestigious Top 100 Minority
Business Enterprise Award. This program is designed to acknowledge and
pay tribute to outstanding women and minority business owners in Maryland,
Virginia and the District of Columbia. The awards ceremony will take place
at the Inn and Conference Center at University of Maryland University
College in Adelphi Maryland on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008.
The Top 100 minority-owned businesses were selected from a group of more
than 1,400 nominees from across the region, and represent a cross-section
of industries including IT consulting and solutions, marketing and public
relations, engineering, real estate, legal services, staffing and travel
management.
“Being named as a Top 100 MBE is an important achievement for Omega,”
said Bohan. “As minority and women-owned businesses continue to
experience significant growth, we strive to build a strong diversified
business and work to align ourselves with like-minded companies.”
Omega World Travel has grown to be one of the largest woman-owned businesses

“Omega World Travel represents the best of what our region’s
minority business community has to offer,” said Sharon R. Pinder,

of sacrifice, dedication and hard work and will inspire future minority

A panel of distinguished judges chose finalists based on entrepreneurs
