Honors Omega World Travel
As ‘Outstanding Woman Business’
Fairfax,
Va. – Feb. 20, 2009 - Omega World Travel, Inc., has been named 2009
‘Outstanding Woman Business’ at the National Minority Business
Council’s (NMBC) 29th Annual Awards Luncheon held in New York City,
Feb. 19. The event honored 14 organizations and corporate leaders who
have distinguished themselves in their respective industries. Omega was
the only travel management company represented.
Over 200 attended the event themed “New Beginnings, New Economy
– Making It Work for your Business.” Marisa Lago, president
and CEO of New York Empire State Development Corp., delivered the keynote
address.
“We discovered over 36 years ago, when Omega first opened its doors,
that by emphasizing diversity and having the right attitude towards cultural
differences, business will flourish,” said Gloria Bohan, president
and CEO of Omega World Travel. “A diverse workplace with people
from different cultures and with different perspectives makes Omega more
effective when representing our multinational clients and competing in
the international marketplace.”
