Omega World Travel to Sponsor Junior Achievement
Finance Park
in Fairfax, Virginia

Company joins team to bring Dynamic Learning Center to Local Community

FAIRFAX, VA – July 28, 2010 -- Omega World Travel (Omega), a woman-owned, global travel management company headquartered in Fairfax, VA, will partner with Junior Achievement in the new Junior Achievement Finance Park slated to open at the Frost-Woodson Campus in Fairfax, VA, in October 2010. Omega will sponsor a storefront for vacation travel in the Finance Park alongside other major companies representing budgeting items such as banking, communications, healthcare, food and clothing..

Omega has been a member of the Fairfax County business community for more than 30 years. “We view the Finance Park as an exciting vehicle for providing students with the financial knowledge they will need to make informed decisions on life style, careers and life goals,” said Gloria Bohan, president and CEO of Omega. Ms. Bohan also sees the Park as a chance to further Omega’s commitment to its neighbors. “We are so fortunate to have this opportunity to connect with the students in our own backyard. We are excited to be a local stakeholder in this effort. I’m sure it will teach every business sponsor, student, teacher and school involved some interesting lessons about financial realities and responsibilities.”

Junior Achievement Finance Park provides a practical hands-on personal budgeting simulation for middle school students. Corresponding to the curriculum, storefronts will reflect the topics related to personal budgeting that will comprise a real-world life experience scenario to help students build financial skills for life.

There are only 14 permanent Junior Achievement Finance Park facilities across the country. The new site in Fairfax, Virginia, represents an unprecedented chance to bring this dynamic financial learning experience to the Greater Washington Region. “Initiatives such as these are more important than ever considering the current economy,” said Bohan. “There is no better time than now to teach young people how to manage their money and live within their means.”
