Top Diversity Owned Business
Omega World Travel, based in Fairfax, VA, was recently honored as the
Top Diversity Owned Business in the U.S. for the year 2002. The award
was made by Div2000.com, the nation's primary resource portal for small
businesses and large organizational buyers. Div.2000.com is a membership-based
exchange platform that facilitates contacts and communication, streamlines
business processes and provides vital business news and information.
The award was presented at the DIV2000.com Multicultural Business Forum
and Awards Ceremony held recently at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket,
Connecticut. This annual event recognizes the Top 50 Fortune
500 companies for promoting multicultural business opportunities.
Accepting the award was Gloria Bohan, Omegas President, CEO and
Founder. Ms. Bohan was also a keynote speaker, sharing the dais with the
Lieutenant Governor and Treasurer from the State of Connecticut as well
as top executives from IBM, NASA, The Boeing Company and General Motors.
